Rachel and Scott…although the pandemic put a huge spin on their original plans, this dynamic duo put together a beautiful Tacoma micro wedding. It was a family-only soiree in her grandparent’s home that spoke to their love of literature, family connection and most importantly, of each other. We started the day with the mamas and the mimi (r’s grandma) getting ready with Rachel…
dad made fishing lures for the boutonnières, our bride wore her mother’s wedding head piece, all of the books on the tables were from rachel’s collection – such sweet touches…but the BEST part of the day was seeing all of their wedding party on zoom to see it all – such an amazing group of friends.
scott’s crew was zooming too – whiskey sips all around!
rachel’s christening bowl sat on the family memory table and mom made jam for all to take home…
this otter was used when scott proposed, so the family surprised them at the ceremony with the otter as the ring pillow and mimi’s wedding dress was hung just inside the room…
i love that mom and dad helped her out…and the ladies approved the look before we headed to the church!
the ceremony was lovely with scriptures from the book of ruth and a couple ‘lawyer jokes’ (both of them are lawyers). i loved getting to roam the entire space (nicest ‘church lady’ ever!)
the rain may have been unrelenting, but all was warm inside for cocktails, cake and their sweet first dance…
my favorite from the day…that moment to chill is always the best.
so happy for you rachel and scott – you’re the best.
