new year’s eve wedding – urban light studios and georgetown ballroom – carlee and stacy!

carlee and stacy’s new year’s eve wedding extravaganza was THE perfect way to end the year.  they had their ceremony in the morning with their family core at urban light studios and then rang in 2018 with a reception at the georgetown ballroom.  when i arrived, they were getting ready on opposite ends.  they met in the middle and walked each other down the aisle…

the rings were passed around to everyone during their vows for each to bless in their own way…

they combined soil from each of their hometowns plus soil from here in seattle – the intention is to plant a tree with that soil in the yard of their home.

cutest niece award – as the couple was ‘pronounced’, she gave them each a big hug before they had that first kiss…

and they danced.

where there’s waffles, there’s love.

while folks got settled for the yummy brunch, we went for a quick walk in the sunshine.  we stopped in front of this door and what seemed to come from nowhere, an angel man with two huge bunches of balloons walked right up and handed them over for a few photos – such fun!

back for a gorgeous brunch…chicken and waffles…biscuits and gravy…top pot donuts…and a bottle of chocolate milk on every table…they are my people.

after brunch, the wedding party and family took some portraits and then the ladies piled into a limo for a quick jaunt to the troll and the seattle center…we even stopped off to love on everyone’s pups.

and her name is leslie knope.

last stop was just down the block from the ballroom – we played in georgetown records before heading to the ballroom for just a touch of R&R…

sometimes, i really like the ‘in between photo’ moments…

after a quick siesta and a powder puff, it was time to welcome the party people and it was on.

wardrobe change…duh.  it’s NYE baby.

they called it karaoke, but these two brought the house down with their performances.  carlee blew my mind yo.

it’s 2018!
