2025 wedding recap – planned joy and getting married

There is no “right way” to get married. This years couples said their vows in courthouses, in the forest, in museums, at the water’s edge, and in the front yard of mom and dad’s house. Couples wore purple tuxes, black gowns, Tevas, mom’s wedding dress, and one couple this year each wore both a suit and a gown during their wedding day. Weddings can be quiet and sacred. They can be chaotic and loud and feel like a rave, t-shirt canon included.

All of them planned for joy. All focused on love, family and their chosen family.

This is a small glimpse into the love I got to witness in 2025 as a Seattle wedding photographer.  Queer weddings, private vows, mom as officiant, rooftop jam sessions, infinity dance floors, under a chuppah, and above the clouds at a ski resort, there were so many tender family moments and palpable love.

I’m grateful to every couple who trusted me with their story and invited me into one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

I’m Jenny. I’m a Seattle-based wedding photographer for nerdy, fun, queer, offbeat, joy-forward humans who want their photos to feel real, fun and deeply human.

I work with couples who want inclusive, moment-focused wedding photography, who care about being present instead of performing, and who want their wedding photos to feel like the day.

If you were one of my 2025 couples: thank you. I love you. I mean it. Your excitement for this next phase of life gives me hope.  If you’re planning your wedding and looking for a queer-affirming Seattle wedding photographer who will document your day with candor and kindness, I see you.
