2019’s wedding season was filled with brilliant moments.  the moments of surprise, the bursts of laughter, of people choking back tears and all of those awkward dance moves.  here are some of my most favorite moments of the year and now some of my most favorite people in them.

it’s a lot of photos folks, kudos to you if you stick around ’till the end!

first look between bride and groom at port gamble

volunteer park conservatory wedding ceremony

the photo above and below are my favorites from the year – the bride hugging her cake for obvious reasons (she’s an amazing person and well, cake).

the photo below is my favorite because of the situation around it.  earlier that evening, i was struggling with my off-camera lighting equipment and was just beating myself up over it. shortly thereafter,  it was time to take the couple out for the night shots they wanted without any guests missing them.  i’m proud of this photo because instead of ‘buying into’ my thoughts of self doubt, i just took a deep breath, put the flash aside and made photos just using the basics. i love it (i also love the piece of her hair blowing in the wind).  here’s to 2020  – to enjoying the moments, and making the best of them.

if you have hung in here this long, THANK YOU!  i am so grateful to the couples that trust me with documenting their best day so far.  2020 will be my 13th year photographing wedding days and i am truly stoked for all the fun this new year will bring.

if you don’t know my family, these are the four heartbeats that i live for.  i am the luckiest chick ever.  cheers!

Yes! You made me cry tears of joy looking through all the wonderful wedding photos you took this year. It doesn’t hurt that I got to see photos from a beautiful wedding I was a bridesmaid in as well as our wedding scattered through. You are an amazingly talented photographer and made it so I could just live my life on my wedding day. Thank you Jenny (and Jen too)!
