So the weather last Friday was crazy pretty - crazy enough to see a guy walking down the street in speedos and knee socks (he might have been dealing with some other issues though). I met Steph & Zach at the pig in Pike Place Market - the sunlight bouncing off of some tall building on 2nd Ave was lovely. After our market fun, we headed over to Alki to skip rocks...Steph is such a sweetheart & Zach totally had me at the 'crane pose'. Can't wait for their big day in June!

Got to go on a ferry ride Saturday to meet up with Cyndi & Nick for their engagement session - I just love when couples have a strong connection to their e-session locations and I love hearing the stories of what makes it special. This sweet couple met at the hospital across the water from our first location. I am so looking forward to their wedding this summer at one of my favorite venues, Alderbrook Resort & Spa. Stay tuned!

During my super fun engagement session today with Cyndi & Nick, we started talking about cameras, photography techniques and post-processing, etc... On the way home, I started thinking about post-processing styles and how I love to see 'before & after' photos. I loved the way Cyndi's eyes smoldered here, but thought I'd add a little 'pop' to them and then just smooth out her skin a tad. I then added some overall warmth to the photo (you'd never know just how flippin' cold they were!) Just thought I'd share a little about how I approach photos after the session and to give this super sweet couple a sneak peek from today!

(03.23.10 @ 09:50 AM)the first thing i noticed was her pretty eyes! i love all the vibrant colors of the magazines and fresh fruit at the market. i really like the photo of the couple on the post alley stairs--i like the softness of pic, and the lines and textures of the stiars and building. very cool.
(04.03.10 @ 11:35 AM)Jenny! I was so excited to hear that you and Jen Wade are shooting Stephanie & Zac's wedding tomorrow. I had to check out their engagement photos and again, am amazed by your talent and how you "tell" the story through your pics. You bring such a great vibe to each and every wedding I've done with you and I can't wait to see the magic you will work! See you soon friend.
