i see you, now you see me! Hi there - I'm Jenny.  Just a couple things about me...

  • I have an unhealthy, but happy relationship with caffeine and ice cream.
  • I am a total insomniac and I get a ton of work done at 3 a.m.
  • I have the coolest 4 year-old on the planet.
  • Your photos are not about me or my 'art'.  I believe my job is to show your awesomeness.

I think it's important that you not only like your photographer's work, but that you actually like your photographer.

I don't typically post sneak peeks from engagement sessions, but after the crazy afternoon I spent with Carissa & Nick, I think they deserve it.  After being rained out a couple times, we decided to have their session today 'rain or shine'.  We definitely got rain and had some big fun in it anyway, but after only being together about 30 min, it was coming down pretty hard.  We hustled over to my car to head to our next destination, only to find that my car had been towed!  Carissa & Nick are so sweet - they took me up to get my car 'out of jail' after we finished up our session at the library.  I had a lot of fun with them and hopefully showed them that I won't let a little 'ol tow truck get me down.  More photos from their session later this week!

Megan & Tim had a rendezvous here in Seattle this past weekend - with Tim in the military and Megan living in Denver, this sweet couple hadn't seen each other for quite awhile.  I was honored to be asked to take their engagement photos this weekend and really hope to be with them in Denver when they 'get hitched'!  We met up at the sculpture park, played around the market a bit and even shot up to Kerry park.  I totally had a great time with them and so stoked to have such a pretty Seattle day for them!

lovin' the spring-like dress and the yellow shoes! double lovin' the ink. triple lovin' that jenny can visit the same location for a photo shoot, but the pictures always look so vastly different and uniquely uh-mazing with each couple.

Marla and Julie are having a wedding this Spring.  I'm the lucky girl who has known them for about 6+ years of their 8 year romance.  On the first day of our program at Bastyr in 2004, I saw Marla and promptly walked right up to her in my 'hi there - you're my new best friend' kind of way.  We haven't seen each other much in the last few years, but you bet I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding.  We met up at the family homestead property in Kamilche for low tide and rain boot fun with their pup, Kali.  We then headed over to downtown Olympia for some awesome blossom time.

Oh yes, then I asked them to run through the Heritage Park fountain...and they did.
