I was so excited for Ali & Larin's big wedding day for such a long time...who wouldn't be stoked about a bride in red shoes, a trip to Dick's Drive-In after the ceremony and a night at the Hotel Deca? You might remember Ali & Larin from their engagement session in Ballard where their cutie patootie pup wore a 'save the date' card that Ali made. We started our day at Northwest Christian Church - the same church that Ali's parents were married in - very pretty stained glass and the sun shone in periodically to cast some purple, blue and red light throughout the ceremony. Family photos were a kick - Ali makes so many different faces and I quickly learned that she gets that humor from her dad - what a character! After the ceremony, I followed behind A & L in their sweet convertible to a Ballard lookout point and then over to Dick's for a milkshake and lots of congratulations from the constant crowd at "Richard's" (as Larin likes to call it). We then headed over to the Hotel Deca for their family & friend filled reception. While Ali danced with her dad, I loved how Ali's grandpa cut in near the end to dance with her too. The night was filled with fun and lots of dancing - just a great day for all. Thanks for including me in your fun Ali & Larin - you guys are just super!

Late last month, I had the privilege of photographing at Bear Creek Country Club for Courtney & Nick's wedding. It was such a grey and rainy day, but when Nick saw Courtney for the first time in her gown, they both beamed. Courtney was so excited to show Nick her garter with his favorite Vancouver Canucks hockey colors & charm on it. Although we weren't able to tour the grounds for photos, we had some big fun in front of the fireplace. The ceremony over looking the fountain at Bear Creek Country Club was very sweet - Reverend Ray was awesome as always - I love how he always steps aside for the big kiss. The party was filled with some intense emotions - so many tears during the toasts and first dances. Courtney's dad serenaded her and Nick for their first dance and when Courtney danced with her dad, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. The dancing was so fun and I was totally out there with them! Thanks for making me a part of your day Courtney & Nick - you're the best!

We had a gorgeous day out at Lord Hills Farms for Jill & Daniel's wedding a couple weeks ago - you might remember them from their fun engagement session where Jill's cute pup joined in on the fun. J & D are so completely sweet to each other - I loved the time we spent together after their first look - Jill had Daniel convinced for months that her dress would be a 'long-sleeved turtleneck' type - what a big surprise he had in store when he turned around and saw her looking gorgeous in her polka-dot inspired gown...the look on his face was priceless! The ceremony was just about as tear-filled as the toasts - Jill's brother walked her down the aisle since her father has passed and later the mother/son dance was a trio with Daniel's mother and step-mother both holding him close for the song. DJ Sean Denard had the dance floor jumping and the boys had the cigars blazing outside. A really fun day for everyone - thanks for having me be a part of it Jill & Daniel!
