i see you, now you see me! Hi there - I'm Jenny.  Just a couple things about me...

  • I have an unhealthy, but happy relationship with caffeine and ice cream.
  • I am a total insomniac and I get a ton of work done at 3 a.m.
  • I have the coolest 3 1/2 year-old on the planet.
  • One of my dogs sucks her thumb.
  • Your photos are not about me or my 'art'.  I believe my job is to show your awesomeness.
  • There isn't one aspect of my job that I don't like.  I even feel weird calling it a 'job' sometimes.

I think it's important that you not only like your photographer's work, but that you actually like your photographer.

Thursday was a beautiful day for a wedding on the grounds of Clise Mansion.  Jamie was probably the most serene bride I've ever known - so calm and full of grace.  Aaron was her hero, handling every last detail.  The rain stayed away and they had a lovely ceremony by the gazebo.  Everyone had lots of fun during the reception - a great meal, a beautiful cake made by Aaron's sister and a sweet (and unplanned) dance from the newleyweds.  I loved catching Jamie and her girlfriends busting out the dance routine to "Thiller" - Aaron even got in on it!  Bubbles filled the air when the happy couple made their exit and they just about 'peeled out' of the parking lot in their decorated car.  Thanks for letting me be a part of your day Jamie & Aaron - here are just a few of my faves from their day...

Saturday started out as rainy and gray - I thought we might have to make alternate plans for all of the outdoor photos at Hidden Meadows Heather & I discussed for their big day.  The mood in the bride's room was so upbeat - lots of laughing and eyelash gluing.  I headed over to the groom's room for a moment - they had busted out the poker chips and a bottle of wine.  They didn't have any glasses so in a feat of engineering, they cut off the top of the plastic water bottles to make a wine glass - awesome right?!  Reid was ready to see his bride, so we headed out for their reveal and some family portraits...

About 5 minutes before Heather came out to see Reid, the skies dried up and we had blue (and very bright) skies!  Heather almost ran down to the gazebo to get to her man and wrapped her arms around him tightly.  I have to say that both Heather & Reid were so calm and Heather had a smile on her face the entire day (even when she was crying.)  After a few minutes together, the bridal party came out to join us before the rest of the family arrived for photos...

As the guests arrived, Heather was in the bride's powder room watching people through the window.  The ceremony was filled with tears and laughter - Rev Ray was awesome like always and the music Heather's brother in law played on his guitar was beautiful.  Right after the ceremony, we scooted to the groom's room to sign all of the paperwork before heading out to join the party!

The buffet was yummy, the dances were sweet and the toasts were filled with emotion.  While Jen Wade, my super fun assistant, was shooting the cocktail hour, the couple and I scooted out for some shots on the train tracks at sunset - such a gorgeous orange ball the sun was!  Once the dancing started, Heather was one of the first out there - I don't think she sat out even one song!  Everyone (even Reid) got out there for "YMCA" and everyone seemed to have a great time out on the dance floor.  At the end of the evening, the happy couple made a 'bubble exit' and hopped into their specially decorated car.  Have a super time on the honeymoon you guys and thank you for letting me be a part of your great day!
