Scott arrived at the venue just in time for their sweet reveal on the balcony - what a great guy - I met him for the first time on this day, but immediately got a great sense of why Abby loves him. The couple & I then got to hang out on the golf course for some portraits before getting all of the family formals taken. Scott's dad has the coolest classic Fiat that he brought to drive Abby & her father (who was also their officiant by the way) down to the gazebo for the ceremony - it was GREAT!
The new couple & I then hopped on a golf cart while the cocktail hour got underway - the course has a lake and some really gorgeous trees...and we had such a gorgeous day. We then headed back to the ballroom for tender toasts, sweet slow dances, a yummy buffet, an even yummier cake and then some serious dancing moves (see me doing the cha cha slide - eek!) It was a really beautiful day for an incredibly beautiful couple - I hope your honeymoon was super Abby & Scott, thanks again for making me a part of your day...
Annemarie Juhlian (love her!) arrived to officiate their vows - she always brings such joy to a ceremony. There were tears, laughter and bubbles!
The spread was delicious and everyone spent the rest of the afternoon just enjoying each other's company. The happy couple did honor us with a dance (I think they must have taken some lessons!) They are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Italy - I hope you're having a blast Justin & Desiree - thanks so much for including me in your wonderful day!
such beautiful photos... i LOVE the bubble bokeh one!
AND the one with them blowing the dandelion :)
(05.24.09 @ 12:54 AM)Lovely as ever! I particularly like the one of the bride's hands behind her back, showing off the henna :) And their off-set cake is cool.
(05.24.09 @ 10:18 AM)Jen - it was so fun working with you on this wonderful event! Annemarie Juhlian
(06.01.09 @ 07:21 AM)Jenny thank you SO much for the fabulous photos! They rock and so do you! Justin and I (and our families) can't stop looking at them!
(06.04.09 @ 09:36 AM)We all hopped in the limo with George, the cool limo guy and headed down to Kyle's mom's house where everyone was getting ready. There were fruit and cheese platters and champagne for the ladies - such a great spread! The house is big and beautiful and the living room with everyone on the balcony above made a perfect spot for Kyle's first glance of Emily.
After the reveal, everyone headed down to the Capitol building for family portraits and play - this was my first time there - beautiful! Emily rented parasols from Bella Umbrella - so much fun having the boys hold them. The church was right across the street - the ceremony was tear filled and sweet.
Before heading to the Olympia Country & Golf Club for the reception, the wedding party headed down to the waterfront for some more photo play - such a totally fun and crazy group. We re-enacted the kissing couple statue at the marina while lots of people shouted out 'congrats' from passing cars, etc...
There were so many great touches that Emily & Kyle planned - the yummy candy bar, their initials in white flowers, a gorgeous (and super tasty) cake, paper lanterns, personalized napkins and match books for the sparklers (a sparkler exit!). DJ Jeff Hill kept the party going and after some very sweet and funny toasts from the bridal party, the dancing began. I was so touched by the tears from Emily's mom during the father/daughter dance and loved Kyle's sweet smile while he danced with his mom. Everyone including grandma busted a move on the dance floor - Em 'got low' and the electric slide was in full swing. I stole the couple for a few minutes to walk out on the dock for some photos. The sparkler exit was a smoky success and they were on their way up to Seattle for the wedding night!
Last, but certainly not least, Emily & Kyle decided to create their guest book from photos taken in our 'Fauxto booth' by the awesome Jen! This whole day was so great and thank you SO much Em & Kyle for making us a part of your day.
Love love love! Love your skillz, as always. Love the teal and green - and the candy (mmm) and sparklers! Great ideas! Aaaand I love the props in the photobooth! Utterly stellar. Go Jen!

Nice work Jenny! The golfing photos are cute! Like all the flared shots. The one where they're on the dance floor "getting low" cracks me up.
(06.04.09 @ 01:52 PM)Jenny ever since we've met to the day of the wedding you've been so great and easy to work with! Not only are you an amazing artist, you are so fun to be around and make it easy for everyone to be themselves in front of the camera :) These photos are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! You captured all of the joy, excitement and emotion in everyone! We'll share these photos with friends and family for years to come! Thank you thank you thank you!
(06.04.09 @ 06:11 PM)ok. so. i already know that you're completely awesome. but i think i've taken for granted just how awesome of a photographer you are!
when i'm doing a wedding with you, i don't always have a fresh perspective when i see the end photos on your blog... i don't know if that makes any sense at all!
but i found myself saying 'wow!' so many times in this blog post! the flare, the fiat, and the fun that you captured! people tell you all the time what a great job you do at capturing the emotion within the moment, and it's so true!
maybe that doesn't all make sense, but basically it boils down to 'YOU ROCK'!!!
(06.04.09 @ 08:23 PM)Ok, I love the blurry car and the palm tree shots. Beautiful.
(06.04.09 @ 10:55 PM)i love the butt pinch shot! :)
(06.05.09 @ 01:12 PM)Once again, your photos are so good I can almost smell the flowers, hear the music, feel the green grass between my toes! You're the BEST! They're gonna love these!
(06.05.09 @ 04:05 PM)They're such a beautiful couple and you captured so many great moments throughout the day! The story just unfolds as I scroll through the pictures.
(06.06.09 @ 10:30 AM)the bride is simply stunning! i felt like i was looking at a wedding magazine with models! but their love is very real and sweet. they are an adorable couple and you did a wonderful job capturing that!
