I frequently tell people that part of the reason I love photographing weddings is that it feels like I'm getting on a train and just enjoying the ride...Billierose and Preston's wedding on August 21st was a very fun ride with a couple delays, a few changes but a ton of smiles and laughter. You might remember them from their super fun and hot pink engagement session...
We started our day at the UW for B & P's first look at the big fountain...only to find that the big fountain was torn up for what I imagine are repairs (yikes!) No worries though, we found a nice spot on the quad for their first look and it was sweet. Traffic heading up to Arlington on a Friday, summer afternoon left a little to be desired, but we all made it and their ceremony was touching, with Tiffani as their officiant and Billierose's little sister reciting a poem she wrote for the couple. The toasts brought about a lot of laughter and some serious blushing from Preston (I'll never tell). Thanks so much for choosing me to be a part of your day Billierose and Preston - here are some faves from the day...

Christine and Jake had their lovely wedding on August 15th - the weather threatened us with showers that morning, but in the end, we had dry skies and a beautiful view from their reception site at Salty's on Alki. I started my day with all of the girls at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel downtown - there wasn't a dry eye in the room when Chris got in her gown. Her dad got so choked up that he was offered a nice hit off of the communal flask to calm his nerves (he accepted)! We then all headed out to Seattle University for a sweet reveal in front of the St. Ignatius church on campus and to take wedding party photos on the lawn. C & J had such a fun group for their wedding party - lots of laughs along with the tears.

Their ceremony took place at Trinity Parish up on 1st hill - what a gorgeous structure! Like many churches however, not a lot of photos could be taken during the ceremony...I got a few gems though! Jake surprised Chris with a sweet ride to the reception with the best man and I following behind so we could stop to take some shots of the Seattle skyline before heading over to Salty's to join their big party. What a crazy, fun group of friends C & J have - they were shredding up the dance floor right up until we took off! Excellent day Christine and Jake - thank you so much for including me!!

The love of friends and family was palpable at Jenni & Jason's wonderful wedding a couple Saturdays ago. I started my day at Jenni's mom's house - the women in Jenni's life are a total hoot and so much fun! Jenni & Jason's theme of "Better Together" was great and ran throughout the whole day - from the Landmark's marquee to their signature cocktail, J & J had so many sweet details throughout the venue. My assistant Jen went detail crazy! After their sweet reveal under the marquee, everyone headed over to the park for portraits, but I got to hop into their super cool classic car with the bride and groom to go for ride. I loved the look on Jenni's face when Tom hit the gas! Their ceremony was so sweet - laced with some tears and with Reverend Ray at the helm, there was definitely some laughter. The party was just great - fun toasts, sweet 'first dances' and some seriously funky dance moves. When Jenni's favorite songs came on - look out!! Such a wonderful day (big love to J's grandma by the way!!). Thanks so much for having me share in your day J & J - you guys are the best!
