  • I have an unhealthy, but happy relationship with caffeine and ice cream.
  • I am a total insomniac and I get a ton of work done at 3 a.m.
  • I have the coolest 3 1/2 year-old on the planet.
  • One of my dogs sucks her thumb.
  • Your photos are not about me or my 'art'.  I believe my job is to show your awesomeness.
  • There isn't one aspect of my job that I don't like.  I even feel weird calling it a 'job' sometimes.

I think it's important that you not only like your photographer's work, but that you actually like your photographer.

I first met Bobbi Roth, wedding planner extraordinaire while working with MaryLee & Derek for their great day on the Skansonia and then got to have another awesome day with her at Jenni & Jason's super cool shindig.  She was so on top of everything and this was all while being totally preggers!  She is the mom of 7 kids (all girls!) now (not a typo!) and Emma at 5 weeks old is just a huge bundle of sweetness.  She put up with a lot from her mom and I - headbands, hair clips, tutus...all the while just being a little ball of yum.

Family Photography ~ Bothell ~ The Harris, Scott & Goodwin Family

The day before Thanksgiving brought me out to meet up with the Harris family at their home.  Patrick & Andrea are friends with the awesome Jenni & Jason Crutcher!  We all had big fun on their front porch until the rain started up and then in front of their Christmas tree with grandparents Jack & Karleen and the Scott family (Andrea's sister).  Matthew & Michael are some of the cutest boys I've ever had the pleasure of goofin' around with.  Although I didn't get to hang out with Allen & Alexis' family for as long, their daughters Kelsey & Leah totally 'had me at hello' with their big brown eyes and sweet smiles.  I hope they all had as much fun with me - here are a bunch of my faves!

I love these family photos, Jenny!! Would you be up for doing a 'homecoming' photo shoot in the future? David goes out on the ship next year, for 8 months, and I think it would be *amazing* to have you take photos when he comes home!! It would be in front of the USS Abraham Lincoln. :)

monkey love ~ she sleeps!

It's been quite some time since my kid has had some blog time - as many of you know that follow me on facebook/twitter, etc..., sleep has not been coming very easily for the monkey lately.  Last night, however, she not only slept well but slept the whole night in her big grrl bed (huge feat).  Can't think of a better time to bust out the macro lens right?  Her lashes blow my mind...indulge me...
