i see you, now you see me! Hi there - I'm Jenny.  Just a couple things about me...

  • I have an unhealthy, but happy relationship with caffeine and ice cream.
  • I am a total insomniac and I get a ton of work done at 3 a.m.
  • I have the coolest 3 1/2 year-old on the planet.
  • One of my dogs sucks her thumb.
  • Your photos are not about me or my 'art'.  I believe my job is to show your awesomeness.
  • There isn't one aspect of my job that I don't like.  I even feel weird calling it a 'job' sometimes.

I think it's important that you not only like your photographer's work, but that you actually like your photographer.

What an amazingly beautiful day Thursday was, especially after coming home from such a gorgeous Lake Tahoe experience!  I hooked up with Jenna & Zach at Northgate and we piled into my car to head over to Carkeek park.  We found the most beautiful light through the trees (and a ton of mosquitoes!) and then headed down to Golden Gardens to walk around the boats and grab some ice cream.  I love their 'how we got connected' story of friends, Coast Guard buddies, drunk guys who can't take a hint and the serendipity of two people meeting in an unlikely situation.  I am so looking forward to your big day Jenna & Zach and had a great time with you this week.  Here are a few of my faves...

i see engagements ~ Naomi & James ~ Seattle Wedding Photographer

So you know when you meet people and you feel like you've already been buddies for years?  That has been my experience with Naomi and James.  In a word, this couple is groovy.  Naomi has a great laugh - totally infectious and James can make her giggle with ease.  We met at the pig in the market and played around down in the alley and then headed up to Queen Anne.  We had kind of a gray day, but Parsons Garden was so gorgeous.  Vivi, their mega-cute pup helped us make their 'save the date' awesome and then made me giggle with her dog smile/ears up cuteness.  I'm so excited to come out to Vermont in September for their wedding-on-a-farm extravaganza!  Here are a few of my faves from the day...

Actually the dog was rolling her eyes at the ribbon, but Jenny very brilliantly caught her right before the eyeroll began. Another example of her incredible talent for capturing all the right moments!

Jill's puppy had me at hello.  Jack is probably one of the cutest and sweetest dogs I've ever met (don't tell my pups please).  We all had such fun down in Pioneer Square and at the Olympic Sculpture Park together.  Daniel is such a sweet guy too - he is very kind to Jill (and I think she is pretty darn cool).  I can't wait 'till their big day in September.  Here are just a few of my faves from the day...
