i see you, now you see me! Hi there - I'm Jenny.  Just a couple things about me...

  • I have an unhealthy, but happy relationship with caffeine and ice cream.
  • I am a total insomniac and I get a ton of work done at 3 a.m.
  • I have the coolest 4 year-old on the planet.
  • Your photos are not about me or my 'art'.  I believe my job is to show your awesomeness.
  • There isn't one aspect of my job that I don't like.  I even feel weird calling it a 'job' sometimes.

I think it's important that you not only like your photographer's work, but that you actually like your photographer.

Amy & Derek were married last February at the beautiful Sorrento Hotel.  It was at this wedding where I met the fabulous Annemarie Juhlian too!  I asked Amy for any wedding day advice she might have.  She said "for the wedding day my advice is to be very thoughtful to take moments to really look around and take in what is happening. Especially to the bride when walking down the aisle - look at the guests and their smiling faces."  Sounds like great advice to me!

i love these updates that you're doing!

If you haven't already seen Mike & Serena's first post, scroll below to see their sweet ceremony on New Year's morning.  A few hours after their brunch ended, I met Serena & Mike in their suite at The Sorrento Hotel to capture them hanging out with friends and getting ready for their reception party up at Uptown Hideaway later that night.  The boys hung out in the main room while the ladies dolled it up in the bedroom.  Mike got his 'first look' as Serena came out of the bathroom and his facial expression said it was totally 'worth the wait'.  After a few leaps on the bed, we headed up to Uptown Hideaway for their cocktail (including two drink creations from the bride & groom) party.  The speeches were really touching, I fell in love with the goat cheese & red pepper swirls and the cupcake arrangement was made by the women of Serena's book club, The Audacity of Book Club (how sweet is that?!)  It was a wonderful night and an extremely awesomesauce way to start out the new year.  I really hope to know this couple for many years to come!
