  • I am a total insomniac and I get a ton of work done at 3 a.m.
  • I have the coolest 4 year-old on the planet.
  • Your photos are not about me or my 'art'.  I believe my job is to show your awesomeness.
  • There isn't one aspect of my job that I don't like.  I even feel weird calling it a 'job' sometimes.

I think it's important that you not only like your photographer's work, but that you actually like your photographer.

I had a total blast with Sara shooting her b-session yesterday!  She not only has the energy, self-confidence and insanely beautiful eyes that rock boudoir sessions, but she brought me red velvet cupcakes from Trophy!  Cream cheese frosting is fabulous, but Sara brought fabulous to the next level...as she would say, she's bomb.

Engagement Photography ~ Olympia & Kamilche ~ Marla & Julie

Marla and Julie are having a wedding this Spring.  I'm the lucky girl who has known them for about 6+ years of their 8 year romance.  On the first day of our program at Bastyr in 2004, I saw Marla and promptly walked right up to her in my 'hi there - you're my new best friend' kind of way.  We haven't seen each other much in the last few years, but you bet I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding.  We met up at the family homestead property in Kamilche for low tide and rain boot fun with their pup, Kali.  We then headed over to downtown Olympia for some awesome blossom time.


Oh yes, then I asked them to run through the Heritage Park fountain...and they did.

this couple really 'brought it!' i love how they made this session uniquely their own. i love the galoshes, the pooch, their 'rings'...and not only that, but they really showcase their playfulness. hope they brought some towels :)

Engagement Photography ~ Pike Place Market & Alki Beach ~ Stephanie & Zach

So the weather last Friday was crazy pretty - crazy enough to see a guy walking down the street in speedos and knee socks (he might have been dealing with some other issues though).  I met Steph & Zach at the pig in Pike Place Market - the sunlight bouncing off of some tall building on 2nd Ave was lovely.  After our market fun, we headed over to Alki to skip rocks...Steph is such a sweetheart & Zach totally had me at the 'crane pose'.  Can't wait for their big day in June!

the first thing i noticed was her pretty eyes! i love all the vibrant colors of the magazines and fresh fruit at the market. i really like the photo of the couple on the post alley stairs--i like the softness of pic, and the lines and textures of the stiars and building. very cool.
