The sweetness and softness that Mike & Yuka share with each other is so amazing...and their friends and family are just SO much fun!
They had their first look near the entrance to the garden...Yuka's beautiful gown was handmade by Mike's sister Kristie...Yuka's tears were so touching and I loved her look of surprise when Mike showed her that Kristie had made a pocket square from the material of her gown...

The boutonnieres were made by Mike's dad - they were fishing lures!
Their ceremony was officiated by super wonderful Annemarie Juhlian - she beams with such genuine joy for her couples...I am always so stoked to work with her! Mike's uncle played the bagpipes to begin their processional - how cool is that?! Yuka's parents came from Japan for the wedding and her father walked her down in a traditional Japanese outfit...loved it!!
After the ceremony, everyone headed over to Ray's Boathouse in Ballard. They had beautiful paper cranes that Yuka's father made and the neatest traditional desert called Mochi. It was a performance that everyone could participate in. It is a Japanese rice cake made by pounding rice into a paste and then molding it into a small ball. It was flying everywhere and so much fun to watch. Check out the guy in the middle during the gif file - the event was so exciting!
A friend of Mike's has a great jazz quartet (info coming soon) - they were such a nice touch for the reception. A totally excellent night was had by all!
