The first time I met Brooke & Derek, I said a wish on a star after we met at the coffee shop...it went something like 'please pick me, please pick me'. I just thought that they were some of the coolest people ever and I felt an audible 'click' between Brooke and me. My wish came true and last March 27th, they got hitched at Top of the Market. It was super great.
Brooke sent me a bit of advice for couples planning their wedding...
"My advice, especially for those with a lot of out of town friends and family, is to have your wedding on a Friday night. We found that most places offer a discount for Friday nights because it's a "less popular" day to get married. We were able to use the money we saved to host a Beals Bowl-O-Rama on Saturday afternoon so we could spend quality time with our friends and family without the stress of the wedding. Oh, and Jenny came bowling too, which made for some great additional photos and it turned into a whole wedding weekend where both our families and friends could really get to know one another!"
The Bowl-O-Rama was pretty cool...happy anniversary B & D!!
