I just can't tell you how much fun I had Saturday down in Olympia - Oly chicks can throw a super fun party! Emily & I have been chatting for months (they live in AZ) and I feel like she and I are bffs from a former life or something. I didn't get to meet Kyle for the first time until the night before the wedding and I have to say that he is just 'good people'. What a great and gorgeous day they had for their wedding. The day started with my lovely assistant Jen dropping me off at the Gene Juarez in Tacoma to meet the ladies having their hair and makeup done...
We all hopped in the limo with George, the cool limo guy and headed down to Kyle's mom's house where everyone was getting ready. There were fruit and cheese platters and champagne for the ladies - such a great spread! The house is big and beautiful and the living room with everyone on the balcony above made a perfect spot for Kyle's first glance of Emily.
After the reveal, everyone headed down to the Capitol building for family portraits and play - this was my first time there - beautiful! Emily rented parasols from Bella Umbrella - so much fun having the boys hold them. The church was right across the street - the ceremony was tear filled and sweet.
Before heading to the Olympia Country & Golf Club for the reception, the wedding party headed down to the waterfront for some more photo play - such a totally fun and crazy group. We re-enacted the kissing couple statue at the marina while lots of people shouted out 'congrats' from passing cars, etc...
There were so many great touches that Emily & Kyle planned - the yummy candy bar, their initials in white flowers, a gorgeous (and super tasty) cake, paper lanterns, personalized napkins and match books for the sparklers (a sparkler exit!). DJ Jeff Hill kept the party going and after some very sweet and funny toasts from the bridal party, the dancing began. I was so touched by the tears from Emily's mom during the father/daughter dance and loved Kyle's sweet smile while he danced with his mom. Everyone including grandma busted a move on the dance floor - Em 'got low' and the electric slide was in full swing. I stole the couple for a few minutes to walk out on the dock for some photos. The sparkler exit was a smoky success and they were on their way up to Seattle for the wedding night!
Last, but certainly not least, Emily & Kyle decided to create their guest book from photos taken in our 'Fauxto booth' by the awesome Jen! This whole day was so great and thank you SO much Em & Kyle for making us a part of your day.
